Abstract
The present undergraduate thesis focuses on the development of a Web Documentation management system using Static Site Generators (Vuepress). The goal is to create an environment that will facilitate the organization, management, and publication of an undergraduate thesis’s content in a Linux environment. This goal is achieved through the implementation of virtualization technologies, composing an efficient and flexible system for the installation and management of the necessary applications.
The main Virtual Machine is created using Oracle VirtualBox, allowing the system to run on all popular operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux). Within this Virtual Machine, three containers are installed using LXD technology, each with a different role. The first container hosts Vuepress for the development of the documentation website, the second creates backups for the data, and the third publishes the website with the thesis content. Concurrently with the main Virtual Machine, another one is provided, which serves as a laboratory for the reader, enabling the practical application of the thesis.
Command automations are integrated into the system for developing and publishing the website content, along with cronjobs for the automation of backups. Visual material is also presented to explain the technical procedures. Before installing the system locally, the user has access to an online website with all the necessary material. All reader actions are performed via web access, requiring no additional software beyond Oracle VirtualBox and no technical expertise. The Documentation describes the object of the work in detail in sections.
